410 BRITISH 6LB FIELD CANNON & EASY LOAD TRAILER: Full cannon dimensions: 90% of full size;Length: 2700, Width: 1500, Barrel Length: 1450, Bore: 78, Wheel Diameter: 1380, Barrel diameter at widest point: 230. With all associated Equipment: Trail Spike, Tampion, Dry Swab, Wet Swab, Rammer, Worm, 5 of wooden boxes for equipment, Several rounds of metal shot (2kg) & sabot, Pendulum sight, Foresight, Removable sponson boxes with match holder, steel bucket with attached captive lid; Match cutter (on trail); Elevating screw (on trail). The trailer is a full car 4 wheel trailer with: tie down points for equipment, fire extinguisher, metal support frame to hold cannon with wheels off the floor to protect from concussion of travel, Jockey wheels at both ends to allow loading/unloading while not attached to vehicle; 4 of light truck tyres, steel ramps, Electric winch to facilitate loading by one person. The Cannon is fully proofed with a proofing certificate to 2kg of FFG powder, corresponding proofing mark on RHS of barrel. As the barrel capacity has not been changed this proofing is valid to its current 6lb capacity. The gun also had its wheels refurbished, all woodwork & paintwork stripped from Green to British Grey/Blue, metal work oxide primed & several coats of Black". 413 HISTORICAL BRITISH NAVAL SHIPS WHEEL FROM THE BATTLESHIP RODNEY: wheel Circumference 27” to extremities of handles 36”; the Rodney, in conjunction with the Prince of Wales Battleship, played a major role in the sinking of the German battleship Bismarck in mid-1941. With traces of original paint work & missing two handles. Comes with documentation of the origin of the Rodney ship’s wheel. 415 SCARCE GERMAN WWI TRENCH MORTAR BRASS SHELL CASING: 24cm diameter x 23cm high; the base inscribed POLTE FEBR 1915 MAGDEBURG with the Imperial Crown & MG2; comes with a copy of a & information of the mortar itself. A scarce item for the militaria & cartridge collector; in original condition. The trench mortar was a Minenwerfer with a range of 1000 yards & valuable in trench warfare.
